Campaign Story

My name is Brandy, and I’m 36 years old. For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of having a family—of raising children to be kind, strong people who make the world a little brighter. That dream felt out of reach for a long time, until I met my partner, the woman I’m soon to marry. With her, I finally felt safe, loved, and ready to build the future I’ve always wanted.

But time has a way of moving faster than we expect. My partner is 40 and we’ve learned that our window for having a child together is very small. We’ve faced this reality with hope and determination, moving through fertility testing one step at a time. She’s passed most of the tests, which feels like a miracle, but we still have two important hurdles left: PGT-A and genetic testing. These are critical to giving us the best chance at a healthy pregnancy, but my insurance doesn’t cover them.

I work long hours—72 a week—in a factory, doing everything I can to save for these costs. But the out-of-pocket expenses are significant, and we also hope to freeze a set of eggs in case our future child one day needs a sibling. Our dream right now is limited to baby things in the closet.
